五旬節聖潔會通訊 – 第十二期

會眾生命的持續長進,對弟兄姊妹的關愛,對教會的委身,都是教會成長看得見的元素。細看今期各堂會的代禱事項,我們發現一個可喜的現象,就是弟兄姊妺多能就著教會的現況而自發委身,開拓不同種類的福音工作。

聚會場地的維護和拓展,是教會發展重要的元素,我們看到亨利堂堂址所在的亨利閣正在進行大維修,靈光堂為開闢新場地而積極籌備,而迦福堂則剛遷進新址聚會,這都是朝向佳美之地所進行的努力。至於活泉佈道所自立為堂會,更標誌著一眾肢體願意為承擔教會未來而同心前行,回應時代的召命。但取得更佳的聚會場地,無非是為了配合福音事工的拓展,因為傳福音原是教會身負的使命。

從各堂會的代禱事項中，我們喜見各堂會正按著自身的資源和脈絡，展開切合教會發展的福音工作，雖然難題會伴隨著事工開拓而來，但我們深信，難題常是化了妝的機會，讓肯為主奮勇的人去得著。暑熱天氣正襲人而來，願我們都懷著火熱的心去為主作工！

The continual growth of the congregation’s spiritual life, the care shown among brothers and sisters, and the commitment to the church are all visible elements of church growth. Looking closely at the prayer requests from the various congregations in this issue, we notice an encouraging phenomenon: many brothers and sisters are willingly committing themselves in response to the current situation of the church, pioneering different kinds of gospel ministries.

The maintenance and expansion of meeting venues are crucial elements of church development. We see that the PHC Rousseau Memorial Assembly premises at Rousseau Heights are undergoing major renovations, Ling Kwong Church is actively preparing to secure a new venue, and Ka Fook Church has just moved into a new location for gatherings. All these efforts are steps toward a more fruitful future. And that PHC Living Spring Assembly becoming independent marks the willingness of the members to shoulder responsibility for the church’s future and move forward together in response to the calling of the times. Yet securing good meeting places is ultimately for the sake of expanding gospel ministry, since evangelism is the mission entrusted to the church.

From the prayer requests of each congregation, we are glad to see that they are launching gospel work suited to their own resources and contexts, aligning with the development of the church. Though challenges inevitably accompany the pioneering of ministries, we firmly believe that challenges are often opportunities in disguise, waiting for those who are willing to strive for the Lord to seize them. As the summer heat presses upon us, may we all carry a burning heart to labor for the Lord!
