What the church needs are ministers who are faithful and committed to God’s household. Twenty years ago, Rev. Iris Chau and Missionary Matthew Wong embarked on a journey to Kenya with a mission to bring the Gospel to Chinese people striving to build their lives there. They have long regarded Kenya as their home and, for two decades, have remained as passionate as they were at the beginning. The two missionaries have always carried their flock in their hearts. Whenever they return to Hong Kong for ministry reports or family visits, they make every effort to reconnect with brothers and sisters who have gone back to China. One can always see in this duo an enduring spirit, vitality, and enthusiasm for expanding the work of the Gospel.
Over these twenty years, following the establishment of the Wing Kwong Church in Kenya. the Ark Church in Singapore was also founded. Recently, Ark Church received encouraging news: Mr. Simon Soong from Malaysia, having completed his theological training, has officially joined Ark Church. Mr. Soong will soon come to Hong Kong to be licensed as minister. We look forward to seeing Ark Church bear abundant fruit.
As for the Gospel ministry in Northern Thailand, it appears that a stable and sustainable direction for evangelistic work has now been established. God has shown us that when we actively seek opportunities in faith, we can always discover new possibilities even where there seems to be no way ahead. We firmly believe that our efforts are never in vain. God will make up for what lies beyond our abilities and reveal results far beyond our expectations.
